Welcome to Driffield Cycling Club
*** Club News ***
Following popular demand we have decided to re-instate the monthly Monday social nights at Wetherspoons. Please see the Member’s forum for more details. Date of next social: 31st March 2014, 7.30 p.m.
Please visit the Forum to view details of forthcoming rides.
We are a local cycling club, based in a small market town in East Yorkshire between the Wolds and the Vale of Holderness and organise regular rides in our local area as well as arranging “Away Days” to other areas. We are a non competitive club who enjoy social and leisure cycling.
Sixteen and overs are welcome, and we are currently putting the wheels in motion to allow twelve-year-olds and above to ride with us, but under-sixteens will have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please keep watching this page for an announcement when our first family rides are to be held.
We like to hold a social night once a month (see forum and events page for venue and date) where we welcome both existing and potential members.
We organise rides of varying distances and at different average speeds. Details of future rides can be found in our Forum and our past rides in the Archives Section on the forum.
Subscription to the club is currently just £5 for the year, but all members are expected to become members of either British Cycling or CTC, which gives them 3rd party insurance. Club/BC/CTC membership also entitles you to discounts at local and national cycle shops. You are welcome to come along and try our rides for yourself before deciding if Driffield Cycling Club is right for you.
Please feel free to browse our site and make use of the contact page to ask any questions if you are not yet a member. We hope to see you soon.
